Simcoe, Ontario is a town of approx. 16,000 people located in southwestern Ontario, near Lake Erie. Simcoe is well known for annual community events including the Friendship Festival, Panorama, and most notably, the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show, held every October.

Brantford Charity Casino
Located just 15 miles from Simcoe you will find this Charity Casino. Housed in the 2 storey renovated Icomm building in downtown Brantford, the casino has a celestial starlight theme. The second floor is devoted to gambling with 450 slots, ranging from nickel to $5.00 machines and 50 tables for Blackjack, three card poker, Pai Gow, Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud Baccarat, Roulette. Carillon Tower
This memorial is dedicated to soldiers from Norfolk County. Featuring a 60 foot tall structure that commemorates and honours the many brave soldiers of the Norfolk area who paid the ultimate sacrifice in World War I and World War II. The tower holds 23 bells weighing over 8000 pounds.

Courthouse
Simcoe's first Courthouse was built in 1837 but destroyed by fire in 1863; the jail was saved due to the firewall that separated the two buildings. In October 1864 the new Courthouse was officially opened and served as the county Courthouse until it moved to its present site on Highway 3. Today the old Courthouse has been transformed into the Town Hall.

Fire Hall
Erected in 1870 as part of the market square. After the Market Act was passed in the late 1800's, market privileges to towns and villages were taken away and the Fire Department moved in. After many years, the Fire Department moved to a new building on Victoria Street and now the old fire hall is used as an office building.

Lake Erie
Some of the best walleye fishing can be found on Lake Erie, just 15 kilometers from Simcoe

Long Point Provincial Park
This Park is part of a 40-kilometre-long sandspit in Lake Erie which is recognized as a biosphere reserve by the United Nations. The world-renowned refuge and stopover for migrating birds in fall and spring can be viewed here. Waterfowl viewing is excellent in March with its delicate dunes and marshes also teem with songbirds, spawning fish, turtles and frogs. Located 48 km from Simcoe. Norfolk County Fair
The annual Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is held in Simcoe. This is Ontario's oldest agricultural fair and is said to be ranked as the fifth largest event of its kind in the province competing with the Canadian National Exhibition, The Royal Winter Fair, and "city" fairs in London and Ottawa and one of the Top 50 Festivals and Events in the Province! Featuring Competitions, Horse Shows and a Midway. Lots to see and do.

Turkey Point Provincial Park
This provincial park features a golf course and is also known as a naturalist’s paradise. The diverse ecosystem includes marshes, bluffs and oak savanna. Hiking trails lead to a fish culture station, a hatchery pond, and panoramic views of Lake Erie. Camp on the bluffs, swim and sail at the beach, fish for perch or play nine holes of golf.
