Museum on the Boyne
Museum on the Boyne is e. off King St. N. on Fletcher Crescent in Riverdale Park. The museum's buildings and galleries depict the area's history and heritage. An 1851 log cabin provides insights into pioneer life, and an 1858 barn features agricultural displays. The main building contains area memorabilia from the 1800s. Peel Heritage Complex
Peel Heritage Complex, 9 Wellington St. E., showcases an art gallery, museum and archives in a renovated 19th-century jail and the historic Peel County Courthouse. The Art Gallery of Peel features changing displays. The Region of Peel Museum recounts the region's history and development in permanent displays; two galleries offer changing exhibits, and a small gallery relates the jail's history. South Simcoe Railway
South Simcoe Railway offers narrated 55-minute tours through the scenic Beeton Creek Valley over 1870s railway lines in Ontario's only operating steam-powered trains. The Falconry Centre
The Falconry Centre, s. off CR 10 and n. of Hwy. 9 on 2nd Line, following signs, allows visitors a close-up look at more than 200 rare and endangered raptors, from chicks to full-grown. The centuries-old art of falconry is demonstrated during the Raptors in Flight show. Guests can feed the birds of prey and have their pictures taken with a hawk on their arm.
