Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) is situated on the south shore of Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Niagara River. Niagara-on-the-Lake has a long and distinguished history. It was the site of the old Neutral Indian village of Onghiara and it was settled at the close of the American Revolution by Loyalists coming to Upper Canada. The town offers visitors a wide variety of attractions and activities including Fort George, the Historical Society Museum, the Shaw Festival, the marina, the heritage business district for shopping, golf courses, parks, agricultural markets and wineries just to name a few.

Fort George National Historic Site
Fort George National Historic Site is on the s. edge of town on Queens Parade Rd. Built 1796-99, the fort was the district's main British post until its 1813 capture and occupation by American forces. The British retook the fort, but abandoned it in the early 1820s. The reconstructed fort houses officers' quarters, soldiers' barracks, the guard house, magazine, kitchen and artificer's shop. Marineland
Marineland, 7657 Portage Rd., is known for its marine shows, which feature dolphins, walruses and sea lions. There also are a freshwater aquarium and wildlife displays with bears, elk and buffalo and a deer petting park. At the interactive whale habitat and Arctic Cove, visitors can touch and feed beluga whales. Friendship Cove features killer whales. Several rides are available, including Dragon Mountain, a large steel roller coaster, and Sky Screamer, a triple tower ride. A few children's rides also are available. Skylon Tower
Skylon Tower, overlooking the falls at 5200 Robinson St., rises 160 metres (525 ft.) above the ground and 236 metres (774 ft.) above the base of the falls, providing a magnificent view of the surrounding area.
