Midland, Ontario is situated on Georgian Bay, in the heart of one of Canada's most beautiful recreational areas. The Town of Midland has much to offer through the Fall and Winter seasons. The fall colours are breathtaking along the waterfront trail. Throughout the winter months, Midland offers downhill and cross country skiing, as well as extensively groomed snowmobile trails. The Midland area is home to the largest collection of fresh water islands in the world.

Awenda Provincial Park
Nippissing Bluff drops 60 metres into Georgian Bay. Across the water is Giant's Tomb, an island where the spirit Kitchikewana rests. Below the bluff, sand, cobble and boulder beaches in sheltered Methodist Point Bay offer the best swimming. Like the kettle lake inland, they are signs of a glaciated past. From the shoreline fen to forest bog, on spirit walks and owl prowls, explore a unique convergence of wildlife and geography. Big Chute Marine Railway
A dry land lock system for lifting boats from one level of water to another level of water along the Severn River. Found just 20 minutes from Midland.

Brooklea Golf & Country Club

Discovery Harbour
Discovery Harbour will take you back in time to the presence of British naval and military forces in Central Ontario. Explore this recreated, 19th century community on the southeast corner of Georgian Bay on Lake Penetanguishine. You will see a replica British sailing ship, the H.M.S. Tecumseth and H.M.S. Bee; tour historic properties, including the restoration project on the Officers' Quarters, and learn first-hand the challenges of shipwrights, sailors, soldiers and other military and civilian personnel at this isolated outpost built to defend Upper Canada. Historic Military Establishment of Upper Canada
The Battle of Georgian Bay is a fictional event which involves an invasion by American forces. The Township of Tiny, the towns of Midland & Penetanguishene, as well as the secret naval base near Penetanguishene are captured, during this event. Huron-Ouendat Village

Huronia Lightstation Preservation Society
This is a non profit charitable committee of the Huronia Museum, dedicated to educating, restoration, preservation, and maintaining public access to six Beacons of the Night in the Huronia area of southeastern Georgian Bay. Working in partnership with the Beausoleil First Nation, The Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Canadian Coast Guard, Federal Public Works and the Huronia Museum. Martyrs' Shrine
You will find along one wall inside the shrine, a makeshift memorial to such matters. Crutches and canes and even Tensor bandages that have been discarded by visitors cover the wall from the floor to the ceiling. These items have been left by those who came here to pray for a cure, convinced there was an answer to their prayers and bear witness to the healing powers attributed to the remains of eight Jesuit missionaries who were slain 350 years ago. Midland Historic Murals
The downtown of Midland has been transformed into one of Ontario's largest outdoor art galleries. You will find over 30 historic murals that have become an ever growing outdoor gallery project that started in 1990 by the Downtown Midland Business Improvement Area Merchants Association. The first two murals were completed by British Columbian artist Dan Sawatzky; his first mural depicted the Playfair Mill in the summer of 1990; another was done by artist Gillian Smith and the remaining and most current additions all by Fred Lenz. Free guided walking tours of the murals are offered from July – August. The self-guided walking tour brochures and souvenir postcards are available year-round. Located in downtown Midland.

Midland Sports Hall of Fame
Located at the Midland Centennial Arena where you will also find junior, minor, girls & men's hockey, figure skating & public skating. North Simcoe Sports & Recreation Centre
This first class facility provides and enhances the leisure time opportunities for the North Simcoe community. The Town of Midland, along with the surrounding municipalities, is very excited about this new North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre. The new Centre will open in late June with the Official Grand Opening scheduled for September. The Centre will include a wide range of facilities such as 2 arenas for hockey, figure skating, public Skating, lacrosse, in-line hockey, ball hockey, trade shows and sp Dances, Special events. The two indoor gymnasiums will be used for basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor tennis, floor hockey, indoor soccer and tournaments. These are just a few of the activities to take place here. Penetanguishene Centennial Museum
The building that houses the museum was condemned to close in 1991. After an extensive fundraising campaign by the Friends of the Museum, it was saved. Not only was the original building rescued, updated to current museum standards and made structurally sound, but a new 4,300 sq. ft. addition, along with a band shell, parking lot, blacksmith shop, concession stand and Replica Fire Hall were added to the site. The Museum has been carefully preserved and recreated to show a bygone era when John A. MacDonald was the Canada’s Prime Minister and Victoria was Queen of the Commonwealth. Sainte-Marie among the Hurons
Explore this recreated, 17th century French Jesuit mission headquarters and experience the interaction of the French and native Wendat Huron nation. Featuring a unique time in Canadian history when French missionaries and their workers lived and worked among the Wendat. Sainte-Marie among the Hurons will shed light on one of the earliest examples of the introduction of Christianity into Aboriginal culture. Wye Marsh Wildlife Center
