Explore where Ontario began at the Cornwall Community Museum in Lamoureux Park. "The Glen" as locals call it, has staged theatrical productions in Cornwall since 1965. Every February/March, the Glen stages a Broadway Musical as their major event of the year. Past productions include "EVITA", "The Sound of Music", "My Fair Lady" and "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". Cabarets such as "Nunsense" and "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" are produced in the spring and fall; a children’s play is performed at Christmas. Gray's Creek Conservation Area
This 45 hectare conservation area is located immediately east of Cornwall. Approximately 10% of the area is a young forest with 5 kms of groomed trails providing ideal wildlife and nature viewing in summer, and cross country skiing snowshoeing, skating and toboganning in winter. Historic Cornwall Jail
Built in 1834, the Jail operated until 2002 when the Ministry of Correctional Services closed the facility in favour of newer, larger facilities in major cities. This recreational path is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast as it stretches over 75 kms. The majority of the path follows the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River.
