The City of Brampton is located in the Regional Municipality of Peel, just northwest of the of Toronto. Brampton is the 3rd largest city in the Greater Toronto Area and the 6th largest city in Ontario. Brampton has historically been known as the "Flowertown of Canada". For much of Brampton's history, hundreds of acres of land were filled with greenhouses growing prize orchids, famous roses and many other quality flowers. Brampton offers visitors a number of rivers and lakes to enjoy, including the Credit and West Humber Rivers which flow through Brampton. Downtown Brampton is the historic centre and heart of the community. Downtown combines historic homes, within walking distance of business, culture, entertainment, recreation and dining.

Brampton Farmers’ Market
The Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday 7am - 1pm late June - mid-October. It is located on one block of Main Street North in downtown Brampton. The road is closed to traffic and takes on the flavour of a country market. The street becomes a popular place for residents to gather and pick up the freshest produce, browse through the local hand-made crafts and shop in the unique downtown stores. Chinguacousy Park
This is Brampton’s own ski hill for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. You will also find a farm complete with a petting zoo and donkey rides; mini golf; batting cage; tennis courts; children’s splash pool; a bandshell for concerts and a renowned greenhouse and botanical garden on site. Formula Kartways
Experience the thrill of racing with the safety of a controlled indoor track. Gage Park
This Park is found in the century-old downtown past of Brampton. Offering a temperature-controlled outdoor skating trail, popular with families and skating enthusiasts. On site you will also find a trendy noon-day lunch spot where you can grab a bite to eat. The Park also hosts a summer series of evening concerts and weekend festivals. Great War Flying Museum
The museum exhibits a collection of full-sized flying replicas of WWI fighter planes and artifacts. Come and experience the thrill of seeing these fighter planes in action. Talk to the volunteers who build, maintain and fly these “magnificent flying machines” and explore this wonderful museum’s collection. Historic Bovaird House
The House was built about 1840 and is an excellent example of a Canadian Georgian-type farmhouse, complete with nine bay front windows. The house is filled with 1850 to 1920 furnishings. Special events and historic exhibitions are held at Bovaird House throughout the year; the Carriage House Craft Shop, provides a wide variety of quality gift items and artwork by local artisans. Humber Nurseries Butterfly Conservatory
Visit this wondrous 4,500 square foot mesh-enclosed house that has been created with all the essential food plants for butterflies. You will also find floral baskets, potted annuals, perennials and herbs that are introduced throughout the summer to ensure a constant source of nourishment. The conservatory is home to 30 species of native butterflies, plus the migrating Monarch. The exhibit offers an informative and educational side to the study of butterflys. Korea Veterans' Wall of Remembrance
This memorial is considered to be a national one that provides its visitors with a comprehensive list of all military units who served during the Korean War. You will also find 516 bronze plaques commemorating those Canadians who gave their lives in the war. Meadowvale Cemetery's veteran section is also home to the notable sculpture entitled "Conflict". Peel Heritage Complex
The complex is made up of the Region of Peel Museum, old Peel County Courthouse and the Art Gallery of Peel, the complex celebrates the rich heritage and artistic talent of Peel. Explore a piece of history at the former County Jail; discover collections that are both exciting and varied, including family treasures and handmade tools of the settlers. The Gallery’s collection of works reflect the Region’s history and geography and the temporary exhibits display works considered to be important to Canadian art history and contemporary art.
